Description: This fighting style was born out of equal parts necessity and curiosity, as Hadyn found he didn't very much like carrying weapons on his person despite wanting to hone the skills naturally available to him. Robotically Influenced Firing Lines Extrapolated by Subroutine, or R.I.F.L.E.S. for short, integrates Hadyn's natural proclivity for Hojutsu with his ability to mold his Nen, as well as the ability of his Attribute to craft anything from his imagination. Thus the fighting style revolves around solidifying his Nen into mental constructs, wrought in the shape of various projectile accelerators, for his use in combat. The created P.A.s are incompatible with regular ammo, however, so in order to truly enact their purpose they must be paired with Hadyn's Incantations. The Incantations themselves have been tailored for use alongside the R.I.F.L.E.S. fighting style, manifesting as "bullets" to be fired from the weapons. The techniques and forms within this fighting style govern how Hadyn fights when using each of the different forms of projectile accelerator he is capable of creating, however he constructs his weapons as closely to their physical counterparts as possible to get the greatest effect from them. Thus they follow the same limitations, namely: Firing Speed, which determines how many Incantations can be fired from the P.A. in a single post, Barrel Cool-down which determines the time it takes to release the excess Aura from Incantations without damaging the construct (Recoil) and Cast Time, the amount of time it takes to "load" an Incantation in preparation to fire. The "rank" of the P.A. and subsequently the features available to it are based on the price paid to create the construct. Much like with normal P.A.s, Hadyn can increase the price to modify one or more features, or reduce the price at the cost of removing beneficial features. Name: R.I.F.L.E.S. – Stance of Arrest Classification: Hojutsu Rank: D-Rank Class: Offensive/Supplementary Range: Close
Description: The Stance of Arrest is the first of the stances within the R.I.F.L.E.S. fighting style and coincidentally the most out of tune with how Hadyn prefers to fight. The stance is initiated by Hadyn tilting his body so that his right foot and shoulder lead, his P.A. held in his left hand, pointed downwards slightly, while his right hand is positioned in an almost protective gesture over the weapon. This stance revolves around the use of Flintlocks in close quarters combat, focusing on utilizing the projectile accelerator with one hand while distracting, incapacitating or even grappling his opponent with the other. This stance grants no direct bonuses to Hadyn's own techniques, however have various debuffs depending on how his opponent reacts: should they choose to defend against the shots fired with the Flintlock, then they receive a -1 T.L. Penalty to their Speed or Strength when attempting to avoid Hadyn's technique with his open hand (depending on the type of technique used with the free hand), while if they choose to focus on techniques launched by his free hand they receive a -1 T.L. Penalty to their Reaction when attempting to detect or avoid shots from the P.A. These penalties scale based on the disparity between Hadyn and his opponent (Equal Rank = 1x, 3-Ranks or More Above = 4x). When the user does not possess any speed tiers this technique has an activation delay as the user moves their body into the right positioning however with additional skill the delay is reduced while if the user has D-rank or above speed there is no delay and the stance is changed immediately. This delay is halved when switching from a stance into no stance at all due to not needing precise positioning when lacking a stance. Name: R.I.F.L.E.S. – Stance of Due Process Classification: Hojutsu Rank: C-Rank Class: Offensive Range: Short
Description: The Stance of Due Process is the second stance of the R.I.F.L.E.S. fighting style, and is somewhat similar to the first as they are built on almost identical principles. In this stance, the user wields two P.A. rather than a single one, and in a strange position: upside down in their hands with the butt of the gun pointing upwards, their pinkie fingers on the trigger to fire the weapons. This stance focuses on physicality as well as marksmanship prowess, combining overwhelming strikes and point-blank shots with the weapon to batter their opponent continuously. The strong suit of this stance lay in the fact that all techniques signature to it can be chained into one another, steadily increasing the reaction requirement for those to dodge the attacks one after another. The number of techniques Hadyn is capable of placing into one chain (only one chain can be executed per post) and the interval of the Reaction increase is based on his skill level. When the user does not possess any speed tiers this technique has an activation delay as the user moves their body into the right positioning however with additional skill the delay is reduced while if the user has C-rank or above speed there is no delay and the stance is changed immediately. Name: R.I.F.L.E.S. – Stance of Trial Classification: Hojutsu Rank: B-Rank Class: Defensive/Offensive Range: Varies
Description: The Stance of Trial is the third stance in the R.I.F.L.E.S. fighting style and the only stance that focuses more on defense than offense. In this stance, the user holds their P.A. in their right hand with their arm before them, bent upwards so that the muzzle faces the air, while their opposite hand is held behind their back. This stance focuses on fending off Hadyn's enemy while coaxing them into attacking, or using their techniques in general. Through this, Hadyn gathers evidence on how they fight that ultimately allows him to formulate the perfect method of incapacitating or even killing them. With each technique or fact learned about a target, Hadyn gains "Evidence Tokens" which is used as a price to fund this stance's techniques. This stance is based on knowledge, and that doesn't simply just go away, so any Evidence Tokens not used on a target is carried over topics, lasting a specific number of topics until either the time limit runs out and he loses the accumulated tokens or he encounters the target again. If he comes across them again, he can use the tokens or simply reset the timer and keep them for a later date. Different information awards Hadyn a different number of tokens. Description: Posen is a Named Imagination Attribute Incantation, specializing in the manifestation of a very simple bullet. Hadyn chants the name of the spell, or utilizes it by way of any Evocation method, and holds one of his own mentally created P.A.s, or an actual physical one, aloft. A bright cerulean script, visible only by those with D-Rank Mental Sensory up until the point the bullet is fired, surrounds the barrel of the gun and channels the Aura to create the projectile. The script itself is only readable by Mamodo or Ningyo with the Po Attribute, Ningyo at least one rank higher than Hadyn, or Hadyn himself, though it simply says "bullet". It is fired once Hadyn pulls the trigger, launching the bullet across distances dependent not on this technique, but rather the P.A. used in conjunction with it. The bullet moves at D-Rank Speed, and upon coming into contact with a target deals D-Rank Mental Damage to them. Hadyn is capable of increasing the damage by paying an additional Aura Price outside of the base D-Rank, increasing the damage paying an aura price at a 1:1 ratio (1 D of Aura to 1 D of Damage). Description: Netoposen is a Named Imagination Incantation, focusing on the creation of a piercing round to be fired from a projectile accelerator. Hadyn recites the incantation and holds his P.A. before him, a glowing cerulean script, only visible to those with Mental Sensory up until the bullet is fired, appearing around the barrel in order to channel the Aura into the desired shape. The script is only capable of being read by a Mamodo or Ningyo with the Po Attribute, a Ningyo of a greater rank than Hadyn, or Hadyn himself, this time possessing the word "pierce". It is fired once Hadyn pulls the trigger, launching the bullet across distances dependent not on this technique, but rather the P.A. used in conjunction with it. The bullet moves at D-Rank Speed, and upon coming into contact with a target deals D-Rank Mental Damage to them.
